Strauss trousers awarded Hohenstein Quality Label

Working trousers from the Engelbert Strauss “active strauss workwear” product line are the first products in the world to be awarded the new Hohenstein Quality Label for fit.
For some time now, items from the Biebergemünd workwear manufacturer's range have been tested by the Hohenstein experts according to other quality criteria such as breathability and water impermeability.
For proprietor Norbert Strauss, neutral tests on product performance and the labelling of this on the product is becoming increasingly important.
“The Hohenstein Quality Label has a high degree of credibility because it is awarded by a well-known test institute based on clear criteria. This sets it apart from the numerous own label creations and marketing statements which manufacturers use to advertise their products.”
With the Hohenstein Quality Label, test results relating to a wide range of product properties such as wear comfort, nanotechnology, performance and, since recently, also fit and workmanship can be combined.
This is in part a response by director of the department, Martin Rupp, and his team to increased customer enquiries: “By testing the fit and workmanship of garments, complaints at the point of sale can be avoided.
At the same time, these quality criteria form the key selling point. Both manufacturers and retailers are therefore equally interested in the neutral testing system and the option this provides to use the Hohenstein Quality Label on the products.
The Hohenstein Quality Label serves as a simple aid for both consumers and sales staff when assessing and selecting clothing.” The results of the tests are detailed on the label using the school grading system. In the case of Engelbert Strauss, 1.0, top marks.
