Infinite & Datatex launch apparel and textile initiative

Infinite Computer Solutions, a global service provider of Infrastructure Management, Intellectual Property (IP) leveraged solutions and IT services, announced their plans of launching their Enterprise Solutions Group initiative for the textile & apparel industry in Srilanka.

Infinite is the Business & Implementation partner for Datatex Textile ERP in India, South Asia & Australia. Datatex is a global leader in the Apparel & Textile ERP space with broad range of customers that have annual revenues ranging from a couple of million dollars to over $ billion.

Datatex Textile ERP “TIM” and its latest variant “NOW” enable apparel & textile manufacturers, increase productivity by addressing various functional areas like Planning, Merchandising, Sales, Materials, Manufacturing, Costing, Business Intelligence, Manufacturing Execution System functionality. Infinite generally deploys different global leading ERP modules for the Financial Accounting, Budgeting & Controlling functionality and creates seamless integration platform between Datatex and the generic ERP.

Enterprise Solutions Group (ESG) is the group within Infinite which is responsible for services built around the packaged solutions, typically the likes of SAP, Oracle & Datatex. Infinite has built up expertise in the apparel & textile space in the last four years with fourteen implementations in India, China, Bangladesh & Italy. Infinite is involved with giants like Arvind & Bombay Rayon in the textile space and is implementing business transformation projects on the Datatex suite of products for the apparel & textile industry.

According to Guruprasad S Rao, Head, ESG “ Infinite is launching its business transformation services for the apparel Industry, and we envisage that this Information Technology & Business Consulting initiative will add huge value to the Srilanka based apparel industry to have better EBITDA margins from their business operations.”

He further mentioned that since the apparel industry has huge amount of human manpower involved in its ambit, Infinite's initiative is likely to have a major socio-economic impact in the country.

Guruprasad also announced a special “SAFE PASSAGE PROGRAM” for different apparel & textile companies which are using certain generic ERP solutions and have mixed results from them as an incentive for them to switch over to the Datatex ERP platform. This SAFE PASSAGE PROGRAM would help existing companies shift from their generic solution to Datatex with minimal investment barrier.
