Global Bay Mobile Technologies, Inc., a provider of award winning mobile enterprise application solutions, has been chosen by leading footwear provider, Crocs Inc. to address their in-store mobile inventory management needs, worldwide.

Thanks to their innovative products and youthful image, Crocs has experienced rapid growth, globally. To accommodate this demand, Crocs has developed equally creative retail store configurations to support different markets, leveraging traditional walk-in stores in Southeast Asia and Europe, and Kiosks for indoor malls located in the US.

Varied sales environments pose unique challenges to Crocs' retail managers as they handle in-store inventory. “When looking to address our in-store inventory requirements, we knew we would need a flexible mobility solution to support our varied needs,” said Steve Richards, Senior Director of IT for Crocs.

“Some of our storage closets can be over a quarter mile from our Kiosks and we needed a solution that could work in multiple modes including off-line, on-line and without a dependency on a wireless network,” explained Richards. “Our selection of Global Bay's GBmobile Retail Suite represents Crocs continuing commitment to develop our retail systems because of its ability to address all our needs with one mobility solution,” stated Paul Lanham, CIO of Crocs Inc.

The GBmobile Retail Suite is a flexible and highly configurable offering that supports the critical mobile activities that store associates must perform including Inventory Management, Mobile POS, In-store Consumer Surveys, Price Checker, Stork/Cycle Count, Task Management and Mobile Videos for advertising and training.

An added benefit of Global Bay's GBmobile Retail Suite is the ability to quickly deploy custom modules to address a retailer's unique requirements. Equally important to many retailers, GBmobile Retail is designed to integrate to a customer's existing point of sale, inventory and proprietary back-end systems.

“We are very excited about Crocs selecting GBmobile Retail Suite for their mobility needs,” said Sandeep Bhanote, CEO of Global Bay. “The flexibility of GBmobile to integrate with existing systems and hardware, as well as our systems ability to operate in all their varied environments affords Crocs immediate ROI.

We were able to configure the GBmobile Retail Suite to meet the specific requirements of Crocs and deploy in record time. In addition, Crocs will have the ability to update and modify the software quickly and cost-effectively or develop their own custom applications on the GBmobile Retail Platform,” concluded Bhanote.
