Gerber Technology, a business unit of Gerber Scientific, Inc., the world leader in automated CAD/CAM and PLM solutions for the apparel and flexible materials industry, announced today that Finn-Flare, a leader in the Russian apparel market, has implemented Gerber's webPDM as part of their Product Lifecycle Management initiatives.

Gerber Technology's webPDM product is now an integral part of Finn-Flare's overall IT system. webPDM supports Finn-Flare's need to keep pace with rapid growth by reducing lead times, enhancing communication and collaboration with contractors, and improving the visibility and quality of information flow along the production chain.

“Thanks to webPDM we succeeded in cost and time reduction of all production processes. It is easier to work with the program and to follow all movements of every person and mechanism involved,” reported Anna Sirotkina, Deputy General Director of Finn-Flare.

With webPDM it is now possible for Finn-Flare to access actual production information from any part of the world. Finn-Flare also reports that redundant data entry has been eliminated, resulting is increased productivity and drastically reduced product development turnaround.

Finn-Flare's management team realized that a reliable Product Data Management solution was essential to maintain Finn-Flare's continual strive to improve on their already successful track record. webPDM was selected for its diverse functionality including Line Assortment, Bill of Material, Bill of Labor, and Cost Summary customization.

Pertinent data is automatically populated into an intuitive graphic user interface through the program's graphic editor. The addition of webPDM technology will assist Finn-Flare with its continued trend of rapid growth. GT Solutions, the official representative of Gerber Technology in Russia and Ukraine, configured and implemented webPDM for Finn-Flare.
