Lawson delivers enhanced Fashion PLM functionality

Lawson Software announced a new Service Pack for the Lawson Fashion PLM application will be available from the end of April 2009 and offers twenty new usability focused features. Lawson Fashion PLM is a comprehensive tool for retailers and manufacturers of apparel, footwear, home textiles and accessories.

It is a web-based suite of applications that facilitates the management of products, from design through production. The new enhancements were driven by customer requirements and cover the solution's Storyboard, Line Optimizer, Product Manager, Fabric & Trim and Source modules.

The enhancements include improved filtering of user and business partner lists, new links between modules, better flagging of raw materials exported to the library, a Quick Launch menu and more powerful search capabilities in a number of areas, which will all help increase user productivity. A new free text field for fabric construction description, availability of Pantone color code field when selecting colors and sample type column enhance the information held in the system.
