UV ASSURED Calibration for textiles, apparel & paper industry

Datacolor, a global leader in digital color management technology, has announced it is introducing the industry's first support program specifically designed to address the rigorous demands of measuring the Whiteness of UV-enhanced materials for the textiles, paper, and plastics industries. Datacolor's new UV Calibration service option will be added to the company's existing ASSURED Support Program to provide all-inclusive coverage of critical components necessary for continued accuracy when measuring optically brightened materials, including optimizing the UV output and ensuring pristine sphere condition of Spectrophotometers. The new UV ASSURED Calibration Option will greatly benefit customers in the textile, apparel, paper, and plastics industries who use the Datacolor 400, 550, or 600-series reference grade instruments to measure optically brightened materials. And, when combined with Datacolor's ASSURED Support Program, will virtually guarantee optimum performance and uptime of the Spectrophotometer while reducing costs, saving time, and increasing efficiencies in the overall workflow process.

Datacolor's new UV Calibration service offering will help our customers save time and money, and position them for future growth by virtually eliminating any down time from their current operations,” added Mr. Levey.
“The UV Assured Calibration Program is insurance that instrumental assessment of whites are repeatable, accurate, and are within tolerance throughout my supply chain,” says Jochen Adler, European Color Management, Triumph International AG. “Triumph defines the tolerance for whites and we can trust the results from instruments calibrated with UV Assured. So color measurement is one of the most important key criterion for color acceptance besides the final visual assessment” he added.
Datacolor's new UV Calibration Option program offers world class maintenance and service to guarantee optimum Spectrophotometer UV performance by providing comprehensive repair services supported by a dedicated network of highly-trained technical professionals and specialists in more than 65 countries and 13 international operating facilities.
Key elements of the program include:
• Parts and Labor replacement of up to four (4) flash lamp assemblies per year to ensure high UV output;
• Parts and Labor replacement of up to two (2) sphere assemblies per year to ensure high reflective coating;
• Annual characterization of theDatacolor Illuminant Checker (Fluorescent Tile) to the customer's operating standard (e.g. AATCC, Hohensteiner, Paprican, etc.)
