La Cordee chooses iCongo's E-Commerce Storefront

iCongo, Inc., a leading provider of e-commerce and cross-channel systems, announced outdoor retail brand La Cordee has chosen iCongo's powerful E-Commerce Storefront platform to launch its first-ever online shopping option. Among its many benefits, iCongo's E-Commerce Storefront will provide La Cordee with a wealth of merchandising, navigation/design and promotional options to maximize online sales and provide customers with the best possible shopping experience.

La Cordee's new online retail presence will service the needs of outdoor enthusiasts of all interest levels, beginner to expert. La Cordee intends to eventually expand its iCongo e-business lineup to include iCongo's Cross-Channel Retail platform, which will allow La Cordee to offer in-store pickup or home delivery for those items not available at a specific store location, but where the item is available at other locations within the chain.

La Cordee, which has been online since 2001 but currently does not offer transactional capabilities, plans on rolling out the first phase of the new online storefront this fall.

"After evaluating more than a dozen e-commerce firms, iCongo was selected because of its extensive capabilities and proven effectiveness," said Sandra Larochelle, assistant marketing director for La Cordee. "It was unanimously clear that iCongo was the best platform for our business requirements. Even with the amazing functionality it provided, the iCongo platform also turned out to be the most cost effective platform offering the best ROI."

The e-commerce capabilities provided by iCongo will include a complete suite of marketing tools such as advanced merchandising and SEO capabilities, a comprehensive CRM system, an email campaign management system for marketing and promotional events, a call center system, and an order management system for picking and shipping.

When it is introduced, iCongo's cross-channel capability will help connect all of La Cordee's merchandise so it is available online and in-store, allowing La Cordee to reduce lost sales due to in-store unavailability of products. With the new cross-channel capabilities, La Cordee will create an "endless aisle" strategy, allowing store locations to order out-of-stock products from another channel's merchandise. Stock will be shipped to the customer's shipping address or picked up in the store.

"La Cordee has chosen the iCongo platform to improve customer service, increase efficiency and to increase sales. As a leading retailer, La Cordee must make the e-commerce transition as seamless and customer-friendly as possible," said iCongo CEO Irwin Kramer. "The iCongo system will allow La Cordee to further improve customer satisfaction by connecting all merchandise to provide an 'endless aisle' - where La Cordee can effectively capture in-store sales for out-of-stock items."

iCongo's suite of e-commerce tools empowers retailers with simple, efficient managementsolutions and detailed reporting to help brands gain a more comprehensive view of their customer base. Additional built-in marketing and cross-selling resources are meant to help brands build a more fruitful relationship with customers by integrating more effective marketing campaigns and driving traffic with advanced SEO techniques.
