A Spanish-language edition of Avery Dennison's Information & Brand Management Division (IBMD) Web site went live, making the division's products, solutions and advisory content accessible to millions of Spanish-speaking apparel industry decision makers worldwide. The new Web site can be accessed at www.ibmd.averydennison.com/esl.
“The Spanish edition will deliver home-language content to persons in some of the apparel industry's most active production and retailing areas,” says Stefano Lacaita, General Manager for Latin America, Avery Dennison IBMD. “Throughout Latin America and in other Spanish–speaking regions around the world, the new site will provide apparel business managers with content that helps them enhance their operations and brand management.”
Lacaita notes that the site is based on customer input and the benchmarking of outstanding Web sites worldwide. Its interactive pages provide information on a wide range of products and document technical information for the clothing and textile industries. It covers all requirements concerning the display, tracking and protection of brand names at any point in the global supply chain. Issues such as brand enhancement, security, data management, supply chain visibility, label consistency, RFID solutions, including item-level RFID, and RFID justification are given particular prominence.
The Avery Dennison IBMD Web site is currently published in four languages. Originally launched in English in autumn 2008, the site now can be accessed in German and Simplified Chinese, as well as Spanish. A French edition and Spanish edition for Europe are scheduled for publication later this year. The publication of the Web site in several languages reflects IBMD's expanded global reach and strengthened offerings following Avery Dennison's acquisition of Paxar Corporation in 2007.
