Kronos previews next generation user interface at NRF Expo

Kronos Incorporated is demonstrating its next generation user interface at the National Retail Federation's (NRF) Annual Convention and Expo in New York this week. Described by leading industry influencers as "jaw dropping", the user interface is part of Kronos' next generation of workforce management technology.

News Facts
Based on the fundamental belief that workforce management doesn't have to be so hard, the next generation of workforce management from Kronos is designed around three unique capabilities: instant engagement, guided decisions, and complete control.

Applying design principles of today's personal technology, the next generation user interface instantly engages users by providing them with the tools they need, in one dashboard. By leveraging Kronos' rich set of work rules, it quickly and accurately identifies workforce-related issues and guides frontline managers to appropriate resolutions. Additionally, unlike other vendors that offer either perpetual licenses or SaaS purchase options, Kronos gives customers complete control over how they acquire, deploy, and manage their workforce management solution.

Kronos is designing its unrivaled user experience working closely with some of the largest and most widely respected household names in retail – including discount, grocery, electronics, department, food and beverage, specialty, and sports lifestyle retailers.

Kronos is also previewing its new mobile scheduling application at NRF. Workforce Mobile™ Scheduler improves workforce productivity by making it easy for managers to instantly engage with employees using a variety of mobile devices. With Workforce Mobile Scheduler, managers can send a voice or text message to best-fit employees letting them know a shift is available. Within minutes, shifts are filled.

Workforce Mobile Scheduler will be generally available this month. The Kronos next generation user interface will be available to early adopters this month.

"When I saw Kronos' new user interface, my jaw dropped. It has built a truly 'user-centric' experience, which enables the application to change modalities as a user's needs change. This is technology that is going to truly re-define the way companies manage their workforce."

Leslie Hand, research director for Global Retail Insights, IDC
"Easy-to-use technology enabling rapid user response and interaction is a critical part of the future of retail workforce management. The next generation technology from Kronos delivers capabilities to meet this market need."

Charlie DeWitt, vice president of vertical marketing, Kronos
"By using the latest in web technologies and mobile solutions, we are excited to offer what today's retail employees need: an intuitive experience not often associated with business software. Our next generation of workforce management proves that organizations do not have to trade deep functionality for ease of use. Our new solutions offer the best of both worlds."
