FDDI establishes CAD lab at Noida Centre

A highly sophisticated Computer Aided Design(CAD) lab was inaugurated by Mr. Rajeev Lakhara, IRS, Managing Director, Footwear Design & Development Institute(FDDI) at its Noida Centre on 23rd March 2010.
The CAD lab has been established to cater all the professional designing requirements of Footwear and Leather Goods Industry, at par with the International CAD laboratories. On this occasion, Mr. Shashi Bhushan Shukla, IRS, Secretary, FDDI & Mr. Deepak Kumar, IRS, Executive Director, FDDI, Fursatganj, Rae Bareli were also present.
“As the employers are being extremely choosy in the fresher market,hence we want to equip our students to be a trend setter in the industry having cutting edge skills that are required for the global Footwear and Leather Goods Industry.” - Mr. Rajeev Lakhara, IRS, Managing Director, FDDI.
The CAD lab is equipped with all the latest 2D & 3D software and very high end equipments of international standards.
Elaborating the details, Mr. Rajeev Lakhara, IRS, Managing Director, FDDI said, “As the employers are being extremely choosy in the fresher market, hence we want to equip our students to be a trend setter in the industry having cutting edge skills that are required for the global Footwear and Leather Goods Industry.”
“To support the designing needs of the industry, this lab will enhance FDDI student's capability to stand a step ahead and on top of the ever-changing industry standards in the highly competitive arena of 2D & 3D designing,” added Mr. Lakhara.
The lab is setup to facilitate and upgrade the training practices of FDDI were students will have access to all the latest information and software which eventually enhance the academic performance and will definitely add up to the brand image of FDDI. Innovation, excellence, and quality are the driving forces of FDDI and this has translated the vision of the FDDI into a reality in a very short period of time.
Today, the FDDI campuses vibrates not only with the world class curricular activities, but, also with myriad activities, like - convention, symposia, conferences, student competitions, conclaves, short-term industry relevant programmes and cultural activities.
Highly qualified laboratory staff will be available to provide assistance to the user at the CAD lab.
