Psion, a global provider of mobile computing solutions, and Millennium Technologies, a certified value added reseller, announced that Jordache Enterprises has successfully deployed Psion's 7535 rugged handheld computers, improving the quality and efficiency within its largest warehouse distribution center. With guidance from Millennium Technologies, Jordache has deployed Psion's mobile devices to pick, pack and receive inventory.

Jordache designs and manufactures a wide variety of denim, apparel and accessories. The Psion 7535 devices provide Jordache with an updated, easy-to-use control system that has enabled increased efficiency throughout the warehouse by creating a seamless pick and pack inventory control system. Millennium Technologies helped Jordache to roll out the devices and logistics software in its warehouse. Additionally, the reseller is offering continued technology support for the new system.

“We were running an older inventory management system and needed an upgrade with wireless work stations and IT support, so we turned to Millennium Technologies,” said Ezri Silver vice president of Logistics and Purchasing at Jordache Enterprises. “Millennium recommended the Psion 7535 for our I-Series connectivity, and we could not be happier with the functionality, scalability and ease-of-use of these devices. Now, Jordache is able to enhance the company's versatile, mobile environment, which enables our staff to populate real-time information into our existing ERP which is immediately accessible throughout the enterprise — globally.”

“Demand for rugged mobile data capture and computing solutions is growing especially within the retail industry,” said John Templeton, president of Millennium Technologies. “Our focus is on meeting the hardware, software and support needs of our customers like Jordache. Psion's complete line of ruggedized handheld computers offers our customers the durability they need in the harsh warehouse environment combined with the computing power necessary to get the job done.”

The 7535 Psion device is rugged, tough and features user-friendly functionality including an easy-to-use keyboard. The 7535 allows for pick and packing, receiving inventory, allows bar code scanning and includes the total recall feature. Total recall automatically restores settings, applications and configurations so if a problem develops, productivity is protected.

“Global companies like Jordache rely on the efficiency of their warehouse operations to fulfil orders from around the world and our handheld computers offer them the flexibility to meet changing customer demands,” said Ron Caines, president of Worldwide Sales at Psion Teklogix. “Millennium Technologies is an industry-leading reseller, valuable member of our partner network, and as such plays a critical role in the sales and service of our Psion products. Through our strong partner network including companies like Millennium, and our collaborative online community, IngenuityWorking.com, we are transforming the mobile computing market.”
