US' textile & apparel import volume eases in Jan-Oct 2025

US textile and apparel imports slipped slightly in January–October ****, driven by softer apparel and MMF inflows even as cotton volumes grew.
Exports remained under pressure as yarn and fabric shipments declined despite higher apparel exports, highlighting shifting sourcing patterns and still-subdued global demand across key markets worldwide.

The import volume of cotton products rose by *.** per cent to **,***.*** million SME during the review period, compared with **,***.*** million SME a year earlier. Meanwhile, imports of man-made fibre (MMF) products eased to **,***.*** million SME in January– October ****, down from **,***.*** million SME in the same period of ****.
