Gymshark, the fitness community and apparel brand, is calling on startups and scaleups to join its inaugural Gymshark Innovation Lab, a transformative ten-week immersive programme in partnership with corporate innovation specialist L Marks. The Gymshark Innovation Lab is designed to uncover game-changing solutions that bring real value to Gymshark and its global community. Selected participants will have the chance to collaborate directly with Gymshark, gain mentorship from experienced leaders, gain insights from industry experts, and have the opportunity to pilot their innovations.

Applications are closing on 2nd February 2025 and Gymshark is seeking solutions in the following areas:

The best gym clothing for our people and planet

We’re looking for innovations in materials to elevate our gym clothing and accessories game - focusing on durability, comfort and adaptability - including sustainable material solutions that support and strengthen our goals for our planet and its people. All the while, at the same time, we ensure the clothing we put on their backs is of the highest quality. We’re also aiming to strengthen customer experience with advanced sizing solutions to help give people one less thing to think about when it comes to the gym.

From supply chain to squat rack, faster

To keep up with – and even get ahead of – growing demand, we’re looking to improve our supply chain. The goal is innovations that deliver insights and predictions to strengthen decision-making across our supply chain. We’re looking at technologies like advanced sales forecasting and predictive analytics to help us, as well as solutions that optimise the agility, efficiency and scalability of our DC spaces.

Heavy-lifting and time-saving robotics

Robotic technology can help us take huge steps forward in fulfilment operations. We’re looking for cutting-edge advancements in robotic solutions and autonomous technology to help us do just that. Anything that can help us drive efficiencies, enhance scalability and support long-term growth will help us build a more agile logistics network for our future. And we want to hear about it.

Surprise us

We’re always open to listening, learning and growing. So if you’ve got any solution that can help us change the game for our customers, surprise us.

Laurent Madelaine, chief product & supply chain officer, Gymshark said: “We’re constantly striving to get the best possible product into the hands of a community obsessed with the gym. It certainly helps that we share that obsession, but we also know there are so many startups and innovators out there with the same passion. The launch of the Gymshark Innovation Lab will hopefully open doors to them to help showcase their incredible ideas. I can’t wait to see what this brings.”

Daniel Saunders, chief executive officer of L Marks, said: “We’re delighted to collaborate with Gymshark on this Innovation Lab. Gymshark’s dedication to delivering high-quality products drives its continuous pursuit of innovation and improved value for its customers. This partnership opens up significant opportunities for startups and scaleups to trial and implement their solutions in the sector. The areas of focus selected for this lab will bring a great range of companies with solutions from sustainable materials to robotics. We’re excited to see the impactful results that will come from this collaboration”.
