Simco & TAF launch recycled yarns with Radianza

The combination of recycled fibres and Radianza is very unique as both the raw materials – recycled cotton & Radianza are eco-friendly, there is no need to dye the yarn and the yarns could be developed in solid shades due to the ability to get Radianza in shades matching with the cotton obtained from the waste.

The benefits of Radianza fibre to the environment got evident once TAF conducted an independent third party Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) study of Radianza fibre starting from polymerisation to garment disposal. The results were significantly better than other fibres and when compared to conventional dyeing the usage of Radianza fibre showed 20 times less Global Warming Potential, 7 times less Blue Water consumption and similar results in the 8 other parameters related to environment impact.

The yarns are now commercially available and developments are being done for a number of brands that are looking for sustainable products.
