Trends in Global Trade - Export-Import Data Analysis

Trade Data

Trade Data section provide global export import data, which can be searched by product HS codes or a product name. Also, international trade data can be searched by product categories such as fibre, yarn, fabrics, apparels,... t-shirts, shirts, trousers, skirts, dresses, innerwear, sportswear, bed linen, flooring mats, window cushion, drapes, and others. Here, the product categories are prepared by clubbing respective HS codes into categories for a comprehensive search. The currency convertor filter helps to understand the impact of currency exchange rates on the supply chain.

Analysis by Product

Analysis by Product section helps to analyse trade of a country, or between countries, to identify top performing product categories and trends in them. The data is segregated in terms of value and.. percentage share for different products under the category and sub-category specified such as by product, by gender, by fabric, by material, and by HS code. At each level, time series trend can be observed for that category.

Analysis by Geography

Analysis by Geography section is where you find an overview of the top performing export/import countries that should be focused on, as far as sourcing and exporting.. of a product is concerned. The country's total trade for a product or product category is bifurcated in terms of percentage share by partnering regions or countries.

Global export import data module provides global trade data and its analysis for all types of fibres, yarns, fabrics, raw leathers, garments, footwear, leather, apparel fashion accessories, and home textiles. International trade data can easily be viewed in tabular or graphical format and can also be downloaded in different file formats. In addition, the in-built trade data analysis options help in understanding the trends in global trade and supply chain.

This module covers trade data and analysis for more than 3,000 HS/HSN codes under the categories of textiles, garments, footwear, and home textiles. The module provides data for more than 100 reporting countries and for each of this reporting country, it covers data for more than 150 partnering countries, amounting to around 95% of global textile and fashion industry trade.

This module is updated on a monthly basis subject to reporting of data by different countries’ respective authorities.
Reporter country is the country from where the trade flow is originating. Partner country is the country where the trade flow is terminating.
Based on the date or time period selected, the average exchange rates are applied.
The export value reported are FOB values, whereas the import values reported are CFR values.
