About the Fair

8th Feb, 2009 to 9th Feb, 2009 at Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre, Dhaka International Conference on Prospects of Jute and Kenaf as Natural Fibres will be held at Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre from February 08 - 09, 2009. The initiative is expected to build an international framework for creating global awareness about usefulness and beneficial attributes of natural fibres like jute and kenaf along with positive impact on the society of the producing countries and providing economic security to a large number of people of those countries. It will help develop the jute sector that employs millions of people and provide socio-economic development opportunities. It is anticipated that it will raise the profile of natural fibres, increase consumer awareness and strengthen demand for natural fibre products. Moreover, promotion of the use of natural fibres will enhance the environment.
