12th Aug, 2025 to 14th Aug, 2025 at The Nonwovens Institute, 1010 Main Campus Drive, Raleigh, NC USA 27606, USA, United States Of America The Meltblown Technology Short Course combines classroom learning with hands-on activities in NWI's state-of-the-art fabrication and testing labs to provide attendees a fundamental understanding of the process of forming meltblown webs. The course focuses on the importance of controlling structure-property-process relationships to optimize meltblown materials to meet the requirements of the application. The course will cover model polymers, such as PP, as well as the use of alternative polymers (PET, PLA, PBS, etc.). Upon completing the course, attendees will have a comprehensive grasp on meltblown nonwoven production processes, including raw material selection, basic science knowledge, testing, and the characterization used to create end-use products. Attendees will also understand the important connection between thermal profiles and extrusion (i.e., min/max temperatures) to optimize the process.
