The trade association, Composites Germany, and its member organisations AVK, CCeV, CFK-Valley, and VDMA Forum Composite Technology, are hosting their first joint congress in the area of fibre reinforced plastics/composites under the title “Composites - On the path to becoming a key industry?”

The first International Composites Congress (ICC) will take place from September 21 to 22, 2015 in Stuttgart. The event replaces the renowned AVK Conference and will be the meeting place for the international composites community from 2015, according to a press release.

The congress programme gives a topical overview about trends, market developments (European and global), new applications and technologies. This year’s partner country, the US, is represented in the program with a Key Note Speech to the subject “US Composites Industry trends and growth”. The international panel discussion at the end of the congress will address the question: Composites - A key technology in high wage countries from the point of view of machinery manufacturers?

The AVK Innovation Award ceremony on the first evening of the congress will be followed by the Composites Night, which provides an ideal opportunity for communication and networking.

The congress is the opening event at the Composites Europe + Hybrid Expo trade fairs, which take place from September 22 to 24, 2015. (GK)
