Bangladesh govt support helped RMG industry make turnaround: BGMEA

Thanking the government for its crucial support to the readymade garments (RMG) industry during the pandemic that helped the sector ‘survive and make a turnaround’, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) president Faruque Hassan recently applauded inclusion of garment workers under the COVID-19 vaccination programme on a priority basis.
Hassan met state minister for labour and employment Begum Monnujan Sufian and discussed the overall situation of the RMG industry, BGMEA said in a press release.
BGMEA senior vice president SM Mannan was also present at the meeting.
