COVID-19 FightBack: Brandix offers factory for quarantine

Brandix Pvt Ltd chief executive Ashroff Omar has offered his garments factory in Ponnani in Sri Lanka’s Eastern Province to be used as a quarantine centre for COVID-19 victims. Brandix, a top apparel manufacturer based in Sri Lanka, has branches in India, Bangladesh, and the United States, and is a key contributor to the country’s gross domestic product.
The company is the single largest employer in Sri Lanka’s export sector and the highest foreign exchange earning company in the island nation, according to media reports.
