| Japan's textile & clothing imports rise 27.5% to $1.87 bn in Feb 2024

- In February, Japan's clothing and accessories imports surged by 27.5 per cent to 283,804 million yen (~$1.873 billion), reflecting a positive shift in retail demand.
- This accounted for 3.3 per cent of Japan's total imports. Textile yarn and fabric imports also rose by 11.5 per cent YoY.
- Conversely, textile machinery exports declined by 10.4 per cent.
