Ethylene prices in Europe plunge former week

Despite higher upstream energy values, ethylene prices in Europe dwindled in the earlier week.

In Europe, average prices slumped to US$ 1,105/ton in the past week, a fall of US$  60/ton from US$ 1165/ton in the week before.
 
While in the US, average prices edged up 2 per cent and were traded at 21 cents/pound in the last week due to strong market trends as against 19 cents/pound in the week before, a rise of 10.53 per cent.
