US firm Invista celebrates safety milestone at ADN project in China

Employees from Invista and Fluor, the contractor of Invista’s adiponitrile (ADN) project in China, this week celebrated 6.6 million safe working hours on the nylon 6,6 value chain project at Shanghai Chemical Industry Park. Invista’s ADN technology brings improved product yields, reduced energy consumption, lower greenhouse gas emissions and enhanced process stability.
“We’re proud of the team’s strong commitment to safety, compliance and environmental excellence and look forward to deploying our most-advanced ADN technology on schedule in 2022,” the fibre, resin and intermediates company said in a press release.
