Roica, a premium stretch fibre by Asahi Kasei, specialty Japanese fibre producer, has partnered with Sitip, an Italian textile company, for heat generating technology innovation that comes from stretch. BeHOT, a Sitip heat generating technology for fabrics that has been licensed from the unique Roica StretchEnergy has been unveiled at the ongoing ISPO Munich.

The four-day fair will conclude on January 31.

BeHOT represents a special combination of a highly refined type of knitted construction combined with this unique Roica Premium Stretch yarn function, and has been especially developed for this new high-function concept. The design is completed with breathable mesh braces for added comfort and a reflective pixel detail on the leg to improve visibility in low light conditions.

A multi-panel thermal bib tight for the coldest winter training by Santini has been made with the special BeHOT fabric by Sitip. Constructed with the Roica StretchEnergy active performance material, it not only insulates, but generates up to 2 degrees of heat during workout as certified by CeRism, Outdoor Sport Research Centre at Verona University.

BeHOT generates and maintains a difference of more than 1 degree higher in temperature performance during and after cycling. Minimising heat loss, the patented fabric construction plus stretch maintains warmth and muscle comfort performance. (RR)
