American sportswear brand Nike is set to release skateboarder Alexis Sablone’s debut performance signature shoe—the Converse AS-1 Pro. The AS-1 Pro is the first cup sole offering in the Converse Cons line and takes inspiration from Converse basketball and court silhouettes of the 80s.
Created with a newly engineered coring built into the outsole, AS-1 Pro’s cup sole helps increase impact protection while maintaining board feel. The visible herringbone outsole is refined to Sablone’s feedback to help maximise the grip between the board and the shoe. The silhouette features a CX foam sock liner for impact protection and cushioning. The height of the rubber lateral sidewall means the AS-1 Pro can handle the demands of all riders, Nike said in a press release.

The Converse AS-1 Pro will be released globally on May 2, 2023 in the green colourway. The red colourway and the black colourway will be released on June 2 on the Converse website and at select global retailers.
