Turkiye’s general consumer price index (CPI) grew by 2.39 per cent month on month (MoM) and by 43.68 per cent year on year (YoY) in April this year, government statistics show. Clothing and footwear, with 13.82 per cent, was the main group that indicated the lowest YoY increase during the month.

General CPI grew by 15.21 per cent on the December 2022 figure and by 67.20 per cent on the twelve months moving averages basis in April.

Clothing and footwear CPI grew by 3.82 per cent MoM in April. Housing, with minus 1.47 per cent, was the main group that indicated the lowest monthly increase.
