4 Indian investors open apparel shop in Fiji

A group of four Indian investors has set up a business in Fiji to take advantage of the growing local market for Indian garments. Jaipur Traders, a new clothing and boutique shop that opened recently in Suva, targets middle-class customers offering affordable apparel. The investors are Vijay Aggarwal, Narender Kumar, Shayam Sunder Ghanshani and Manish Jai.

The shop sells Indian and Western garments, suits, salwaar kameez, saris, ladies tops, dresses, skirts, trousers, bed sheets, cushion covers and imitation jewellery and has plans to add more range to its portfolio, according to a report in Fiji Times.

There are plans to bring in Indian handicraft and furniture as well and expanding to major commercial spots in Fiji, , including Labasa and Nadi, added Aggarwal. (DS)
