IKEA India to invest ₹3000 cr for 3 new fulfilment centres

Swedish furniture and home accessories maker IKEA plans to invest nearly ₹3,000 crore in the next three years to open three fulfilment centres in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Delhi. It will open its second store in Mumbai this year and will hold a ground-breaking ceremony on October 11 in Bengaluru, said Patrik Antony, IKEA India deputy country manager, management.
The next store would be in Delhi, Antony told a news agency recently.
The company, which has over 50 suppliers India, plans to have over 25 stores across cities like Ahmedabad, Surat, Pune, Chennai and Kolkata with both online and offline approaches, he added. (DS)
