Lamoda, the online fashion and lifestyle destination in Russia and the CIS, has launched the Nike Air VaporMax 2020 Flyknit sneakers on its platform, which consist of at least 50 per cent recycled materials. The launch is part of Lamoda’s ongoing focus to offer more eco-friendly products and will be available for purchase on Lamoda from August 31, 2020.

Nike is actively promoting a programme to create shoes with a cyclical design. This summer, in support of their initiatives, Nike presented one of its most eco-friendly sneaker models to date on Lamoda, Air VaporMax 2020 Flyknit, which has a number of advantages over earlier models. The body of the sneaker is made of Flyknit fabric, which is 67 per cent recycled industrial waste; old textiles and plastic bottles. The sole is made of recycled rubber, and the decorative inserts and tongue are made of environmentally friendly foam. To make it easy to take off and put on FlyEase technology is used, which allows customers to tighten and loosen the lacing with one hand, Lamoda said in a press release.

Lamoda has long supported brand initiatives related to sustainable development and conducts independent projects in the field of environmental protection and charity. For example, it partners with the Second breath Foundation to collect unwanted clothing for recycling and charities at Lamoda pick-up points in Moscow, and offers customers products from charitable foundations in a special catalogue section “I want to help”.
