New BGMEA leaders at Bangladesh's Chittagong region take charge

The Chittagong region of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has welcomed its new office bearers for the 2024-2026 term recently, led by first vice-president Syed Nazrul Islam and vice-president Rakibul Alam Chowdhury, along with several directors.

Former vice-president AM Chowdhury Salim and former directors SM Sajedul Islam, Farhad Abbas, M Mohiuddin Chowdhury, Anjan Shekhar Das, Mohammad Tanveer, Mohammad Atiq, Khandaker Belayat Hossain, Saif Ullah Mansur, Enamul Aziz Chowdhury, AM Shafiul Karim (Khokon), and Md Hasan (Jacky), alongside numerous garment owners were present on the occasion.

Former first vice-presidents Shahabuddin Ahmed and SM Abu Tayyab also shared their insights even as they expressed confidence that the new board would continue efforts to address any challenges facing the garment sector.

Promising continuity, the new leadership pledged to build upon the accomplishments of their predecessors through collaborative endeavours. They assured former leaders of their willingness to seek guidance and cooperation as needed.
