Organic Basics gets Polygiene help for advanced underwear

22 Jun 18 1 min read

Danish firm Organic Basics is working with Swedish company Polygiene, which caters to manufacturers of premium clothing brands by offering treatment of textiles or material and functional solutions, to make advanced underwear that is more durable, comfortable, sustainable and controls odour, according to the former’s co-founder and CEO Mads Fibiger Rasmussen.

Organic Basics, launched in 2015 by four Danish men who were tired of buying and using overpriced big-branded underwear, is introducing its SilverTech 2.0 products this summer for both men and women, which are by far the most advanced products the company has ever made, Rasmussen claimed in an interview with Fibre2Fashion.

“We enhanced our design for more comfort, heat regulation, durability and breathability,” he said.

The companies underwear and tees are made with fully recycled nylon, making them more comfortable, breathable and durable, while reducing its environmental footprint. “After this, we'll manufacture more seamless underwear and make use of tencel, which is a great and sustainable fabric,” he added.
