US footwear manufacturer McRae Industries posts Q2 '21 sales of $20 mn

McRae Industries, a US-based manufacturer of combat boots and western footwear, has reported marginal revenues decline of $20.2 million in its second quarter (Q2) of FY21 ended on January 30, 2021 compared to the sales of $20.3 million in the same period previous fiscal. Company’s net earnings for the period was $0.7 million (Q2 FY20: $0.5 million).
Gross profit for Q2 FY21 was $5.5 million ($5.0 million), while selling, general and administrative expenses were $4.7 million ($4.4 million). Operating profit dropped to $0.8 million ($0.6 million).
Sales related to company's western/lifestyle boot products rose to $13.7 million ($12.7 million) due to increased sales in McRae’s popular priced western boot sales offset by decrease in their premium western boot sales. While revenues from work boot products decreased from $6.5 million ($7.5 million) due to decreased military boot sales offset by rise in Dan Post work boot sales.
