Maloja launches reusable protective face masks
11 Jun 20 2 min read
Known for its innovative outdoor apparel and use of high performance fabrics and technologies, Maloja has announced the launch of a new line of protective oronasal face masks designed for everyday use. Maloja was one of the first brands to adapt their facility in the EU and pivot to the production of face masks utilising Polygiene’s Viraloff technology.
Maloja paid close attention to the intended use and designed the product with breathability, moisture transport, wear comfort and antibacterial finishes in mind. The 3-layer reusable mouth-nose covering is made of breathable polyester fabric equipped with a fleece insert that acts as a droplet filter.
In addition the mask is finished with Polygiene’s ViralOff treatment that not only reduces bacteria but also harmful viruses. The mask offers a functional fit with a nose clip and elastic bands for a comfortable position around the head and neck. The mask completely seals the face and is suitable to wear with glasses and hearing aids. Maloja’s unisex adult mask is available in solid and printed styles. A child-sized mask is also available.
“Face masks will probably continue to accompany us in our everyday life for a long time. From our point of view, it is therefore all the more important to have masks that people like to wear – because they are highly functional, comfortable to wear and look good,” Peter Rauber, managing director, said in a press release.
