AATCC has won the 2018 Apex award for its September/October 2017 feature article in the AATCC Review by Kilara Le. The annual Apex awards are sponsored by Communications Concepts, Inc. Over 1,400 entries were submitted for the 2018 contest. 556 awards of excellence and 100 grand awards were given to recognise exceptional and outstanding work.

‘Microfiber Shedding: Hidden Environmental Impact’ was selected for an award of excellence in writing in the subcategory of green writing. The latest award is a welcomed addition to the many previous Apex and Tabbie awards for writing the association’s publications have enjoyed over the years. Along with publishing original features on major topics of interest to professionals in the textile, apparel, and related industries, AATCC Review also contains technical articles, and AATCC news and information. Launched in January 2014, the AATCC Journal of Research, a sister publication, is exclusively for peer-reviewed research papers.
