Benetton India plans to make footwear, innerwear contribute 20% of biz

Benetton India, whose footwear and innerwear together comprise 11-12 per cent of its total business, aims to take that to 20 per cent in the next three to four years, according to its former chief executive officer and managing director Sundeep K Chugh, who said these two categories are offering the Indian subsidiary of the Italian brand double-digit contributions.
Chugh, who foresaw immense potential in both these categories, told Fibre2Fashion his primary focus was to launch the Benetton India website by the third quarter of this year.
