ITME will give a sneak peek into the second edition of a unique and exclusive trade fair, themed ‘Prosperity through Textile Technology and Engineering’ to be held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, Nairobi, Kenya, from November 30–December 2, 2023. Willy K Bett, EGH, high commissioner of Kenya to India, Kenya High Commission will be the guest of honour and Updeep Singh, textile industry expert, will be the marquee speaker at the event, ITME said in a press release.
The event is supported by India’s ministry of external affairs and ministry of textiles as well as Kenya’s ministry of investments, trade, and industry. The signature exhibition will help in transforming the textile industry of Africa and the Middle East in this decade by opening up unlimited business, sourcing, collaboration, and investment opportunities in the textiles, textile engineering, and ancillary and allied industries.
This edition of ITME Africa & ME will host a lineup of 23 participating countries, including India and Kenya. It will elevate India’s position as a global leader in textile technology and empower African and Middle Eastern industries to embrace modernisation and innovation, added the release.
Scheduled for October 11, 2023, the event will run from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the ITME Centre in Mumbai. The event is open to various stakeholders including government bodies, textile businesses, machinery suppliers, equipment manufacturers, media houses, as well as textile merchants and traders.
