Japanese apparel firm Sanyo Shokai's Q1 FY22 sales jump 51% to ¥8.7 bn

Sanyo Shokai, a Japanese apparel manufacturer, posted 51.4 per cent sales growth to ¥8.7 billion in its first quarter (Q1) of FY22 ended on May 31, 2021, against ¥5.7 billion in the corresponding period of prior fiscal. The company’s loss for the quarter reduced to ¥0.7 billion (Q1 FY21: ¥4.6 billion), while gross profit was ¥4.3 billion (¥2.5 billion).
Operating loss during Q1 FY22 was ¥0.5 billion (¥2.9 billion), and ordinary loss was ¥0.5 billion (¥3.1 billion).
Headquartered in Japan, Sanyo Shokai was established in 1943. Company’s main business is manufacturing and selling of men’s and women’s clothes and accessories and its sales at nationwide department stores, specialty stores and directly managed stores.
