CEO of Roberto Cavalli to quit by 2020 end

Roberto Cavalli chief executive officer (CEO) Gian Giacomo Ferraris will quit by this year end. While announcing his departure through a letter, Ferraris told his team that the satisfaction of working with a good team was diluted by the sadness of failing to achieve the desired results as the management could not manage to secure the financial resources needed.

One of the company’s offices outside Florence was shut down, rendering over 100 of the 170 employees there jobless. The company had to face financial restructuring and overcame the crisis gradually before pandemic ruined its growth plans, according to European media reports.

Ferraris had joined Roberto Cavalli from Versace in 2016 after taking over from Roberto Semerari.
