26 Sep 17 2 min read
SBS Zipper has achieved a technological breakthrough with its contribution in the zipper chain crosswise & tab pull-off strength analysis and optimal design project, which has been recognized by Quanzhou Institute of Equipment Manufacturing Haixi Institutes, Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as CASQIEM) at the 1st High-tech Industrialization Project Matchmaking Meeting held in Jinjiang, Quanzhou recently.
SBS Zipper is a well-established China zipper manufacturer and it came to an agreement with the Research Group of Intelligent Design & Manufacturing of CASQIEM on Technological Project Cooperation last year.
As per the aforementioned agreement, QIEM shall carry out simulation analyses into SBS zippers in different varieties and conduct research into Optimal Design as well as Intelligent Manufacturing within the cooperation period.
Chain Crosswise Strength and Tab Pull-off Strength are two important items to be tested according to the global testing criteria for measuring the physical properties of zippers.
"Analyses are carried out into the chain crosswise strength and tab pull-off strength of metal and plastic zippers through the computer aided mechanical analysis technology and structural optimization technology. Factors that affect the performances of the items subjected to testing are determined. Following the analysis made of their sensitivity, attempts are made to optimize the structural modeling to ensure better performances of the aforementioned tested items," said the company in a statement.
This technological breakthrough is predicted to further improve the physical performance of SBS zippers and enhance its brand competitiveness across the globe. (RR)
