Bangalore-based fashion e-tailer Voonik is hoping for an increase in EBITDA level by 2017 end. After having already achieved revenue of over Rs 116 crore so far this year, the company is likely to begin the process of raising external funding after turning EBITDA profitable. There is a five-fold rise in Voonik's revenue as compared to last year.

With the company's expansion in the kidswear segment, there is an expectation of around 15-20 per cent contribution. The kidswear category will focus on apparel and accessories for children up to the age of 12 years.

"Our customers have been asking for kids wear for many years now. We're launching the category with a collection of comfortable, fun and affordable products in the kids wear range. This collection is specially curated to bring international styles to the Indian consumers at magical price points that Voonik is known for. I am sure the range will bring a lot of joy to the Voonik customers who trust Voonik for all their fashion and style needs," said media reports quoting Sujayath Ali, co-founder and CEO, Voonik.
