Page Industries Q2 FY21 sales drop to ₹744 cr

Page Industries Ltd, an India-based manufacturer of garment, has reported slight decrease in its total income to ₹744.0 crore during the second quarter (Q2) FY21 ended on September 30, 2020, compared to the sales of ₹781.1 crore in the same period previous year. Company’s net income for the period was ₹110.8 crore (Q2 FY20: ₹114.5 crore).
“The quarter continued to witness some uncertainty around Covid-19, however, I am pleased to report that our teams at Page Industries have been able to adapt and respond well during this pandemic, delivering good growth in what are still unpredictable times,” Sunder Genomal, managing director at Page Industries, said in a press release.
Total expenses for the quarter were ₹598.1 crore (₹649.1 crore). Profit before tax for Q2 FY21 was ₹145.9 crore (₹132.0 crore).
“We have seen a healthy bounce back in our business, with sales back to near pre-Covid levels in all product categories,” Genomal said.
