22 Nov 19 1 min read
Indian e-commerce firm Flipkart recently partnered with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) to launch a series of workshops for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to help them leverage e-commerce to grow their business. The first such workshop on the theme ‘Winning big with e-commerce’ will be held in Ahmedabad on November 21.
The workshops will make MSMEs understand how the e-commerce marketplace can help them raise brand visibility, according to Indian media reports.
Flipkart aims to host over 10 such events initially across cities like Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Guwahati and Nagpur.
Flipkart representatives will advise attendees on e-commerce-related accounting and taxation issues, access to capital, identifying new opportunities, the importance of brand building online, building and scaling up brands, supply chain management and inventory planning for e-commerce.
In August, Flipkart had announced the launch of ‘Flipkart Samarth’, an initiative aimed at bringing India’s artisans, weavers and handicrafts producers on to e-commerce.
