Berlin-based e-commerce firm Zalando this season has added 15 high-price brand names to its Premium assortment, which now has around 240 brands. The new brands include Germany’s Marc Cain, France’s Repetto and MM6, Italy’s Liu Jo and Vivetta, Denmark’s Decadent Copenhagen, British Brand Victoria Beckham and Phillip Lim from the United States.
Premium is developed as a destination for customers, where they find everything they need, want and aspire towards, said Zalando’s head of Buying Premium, Lena-Sophie Röper.
While selecting the brands, the company tries to find a sound balance between global and local relevance.
Zalando has over 400,000 articles from more than 2,000 brands, and therefore, having a broad assortment from low to high is central to becoming the starting point for fashion, said Röper.
Brands like Save the Duck, Filippa K, 120% line, FTC, Polo Ralph Lauren, PS Paul Smith, Bruuns Bazaar, Designers Remix, Drykorn and Closed are doing some exciting things with regards to sustainability.
On each brand store in the Zalando fashion store, customers can also check a ‘sustainability’ box to filter results and find sustainable articles, the company said on its website. (DS)
