SVP School of Textiles to admit students through CUCET

Coimbatore based Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International School of Textiles & Management, an autonomous Institute under the ministry of textiles, Government of India, has announced that the admission to the various full-time programmes offered by it will be through the Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) 2018 to be held on April 28-29, 2018.

In collaboration with the Central University of Tamil Nadu, SVP International School offers three years B.Sc Textiles programme and the two years, Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme in Textile Management, Apparel Management and Retail Management.

For admission to the B.Sc Textiles programme, applicant should have passed the Plus two examination or equivalent of any recognised Board in India with 60 per cent marks for General category, 55 per cent marks for OBC (non-creamy layer) and 50 per cent marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates, in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. A total of 80 students will be enrolled in this programme.

For admission to the MBA in Apparel Management, Retail Management & Textile Management, applicant should be a Graduate from any discipline (recognised by UGC / AICTE) with a minimum of 15 years (10+2+3) of education and with a minimum of 55 per cent marks for General, 50 per cent marks for OBC (non-creamy Layer) and 45 per cent marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates at Graduate level. Those who are in their final year and who expect to complete all the requirements of graduation before July 15, 2018 can also apply. The school will admit 120 students for this course.

To appear for CUCET 2018, online application has to be submitted latest by March 26. (RKS)
