Uzbek-S Korean textile technopark opens in Tashkent

A technopark for training and research in textile was recently opened at the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry. The project was implemented by the Uzbekistan Textile Industry Association along with the South Korean ministry of trade, industry and energy. The technopark will focus on advanced technologies, materials science and dyeing.
The $15-million project was funded by South Korea under its Official Development Aid program, an Uzbek news agency reported. (DS)
