Fashion institute Istituto Marangoni in Milan recently appointed Italian fashion journalist Anna Dello Russo its new brand ambassador and scientific director. She took over the position on October 9 at the institute’s annual academic year ceremony. To celebrate her 30-year career, Dello Russo is making a documentary that will feature Istituto Marangoni.
As ambassador, Dello Russo will share the institute’s values, legacy and programmes through a series of activities and as scientific director, she will promote and lead seminars and talks and help develop courses in a modern and creative manner, according to a press release from the institute.
"My commitment with Istituto Marangoni is part of my vision to contribute and support young people who are tackling this hard but exciting work. The future of fashion is in the hands of young talents. I am honoured to be able to contribute to the education of a new Fashion generation, with courageous but attainable dreams and goals,” said Dello Russo.
Established in 1935 as Istituto Artistico dell’Abbigliamento Marangoni, the institute now admits more than 4,000 students every year, from 107 countries, in its schools in Milan, Florence, Paris, London, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Mumbai and Miami. (DS)
