Avon Products Q1 FY20: revenue $957 mn; net loss $172 mn

Avon Products, a global manufacturer and marketer of beauty and related products, posted 19 per cent revenue decline to $957.3 million in first quarter (Q1) FY20 that ended on March 31, 2020, compared to revenue of $1,186.9 million in same period prior year. During the reported quarter company incurred a net loss of $171.9 million (Q1 FY20: $33.5 million).
Operating loss during Q1 FY20 were $101.8 million ($3.9 million).
Fashion and Home revenue for the quarter were $206.0 million ($279.7 million). International sales of the segment decreased to $85.9 million ($118.3 million), while Latin America sales slipped to $120.1 million ($161.4 million).
Beauty segment revenue for the quarter were $693.8 million ($836.5 million). International sales of the segment fell to $368.1 million ($431.1 million), while Latin America sales were $325.7 million ($405.4 million).
