At the Roundtable 3 titled ‘Get ahead by designing sustainability from the start’, new fibres and sustainable materials for better environment will be discussed.

Designing a true Circular Economy model to work for better business, initiating Innovation through sustainability at the design stage, pre-determines better, lower impact apparel outcomes. Scaling up nascent innovations while being alert to the realities of the market and the shift in consumer expectations all add up to opportunities to do business better for future.

The Class philosophy and activities are a crucial starting point for smart thinking needed for the new Circular Fashion Economy model, and are in line with key joint participant, Anna Maria Rugarli, senior director, sustainability & responsibility EMEA, VF Corporation who will share this platform with Class during the first day’s debate.

Along with Anna-Karin Dahlberg, production sustainability manager, Lindex they will together challenge brands and designers to drive towards a smaller footprint, looking at new fibres and smarter materials that contribute from the start to help reducing environmental impacts. (GK)
