Karnit Aharoni has launched her spring summer 2021 collection. Made in France and inspired by the classic elegance of menswear, the brand is a blend of Parisian chic and European elegance. The collection is designed in France, and produced in France Italy and Portugal. The designs are at once timeless and visionary; informed by elements of menswear.

Aharoni got her masters in fashion menswear from the Royal College of Art in London. She was always fascinated by menswear, because it’s always based on traditions and history, and her challenge was to find and create the detail and the twist to design something special. Her whole career in the fashion industry was therefore as a menswear designer, first in Italy for Emernegildo Zegna and then for Donna Karan in NYC, Karnit said.

The inspiration behind the spring summer 2021 collection is her grandmother who was a very stylish woman. Aharoni was very inspired by images of her grandmother in the 30’s, so she mixed it up with a wild west style, because we are living crazy times of change and it feels like chaos mixed with the excitement of the new, just like it was back then. Aharoni’s style is always a mix, she tries to keep some elements that are loved and recognisable, adding to that some new fabrics and colours, especially the jacquards which are exclusive and always tell a story. Then she always conducts a research into the period style or element that interests her, and from there the designs happen, according to a press release by Karnit.

“I believe what we are going through at the moment, are changes which would have happened anyway, even without COVID. I keep walking the path I’ve started with, and for which I’ve left the fashion industry of big brands: Small quantities, responsible production and partners, season-less pieces,” Aharoni said in a statement.
