Moncler posts Q1 FY20 revenues of €310 million

Moncler, an Italy based apparel and lifestyle luxury brand, reported its revenues declined 18.1 per cent to €310.1 million in the first quarter (Q1) FY20 that ended on March 31, 2020 compared to €378.5 million in same period prior year. Retail revenues fell 19 per cent to €236.3 million. Wholesale revenues decreased 15 per cent to €73.8 million.

Sales in Italy decreased 25 per cent to €34.5 million (Q1 FY19: €45.7 million). EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) sales were down 7 per cent to €101.1 million (Q1 FY19: €108.1 million). Asia and Rest of World reported 23 per cent decrease to €132.6 million (Q1 FY19: €171.1 million). The Americas sales dropped 23 per cent to €41.6 million (Q1 FY19: €53.3 million).  
 
Company reported that as of March 31, 2020 Moncler’s mono-brand distribution network consisted of 213 retail directly operated stores (DOS) and 64 wholesale shop-in-shops (SiS). At the end of March, 111 DOS stores were temporarily closed due to Covid-19 outbreak.
